Start in 4 steps
- Open the lesson library and switch to Coordinator to see each lesson's guide.
- Email [email protected] for a class code.
- Make sure each learner has a phone, the room has Wi-Fi, and there is one volunteer for every two to five learners.
- After each class, fill in the after-class record. We send your site a combined report.
A sample session, 45-60 minutes
- 5 minutes - The warm-up question from the lesson's coordinator notes.
- 15 minutes - Walk through one lesson's steps together (on a big screen if you have one).
- 15 minutes - Practice in pairs or role-play, with volunteers moving around to help.
- 5 minutes - The end-of-lesson questions; the answer key is in the coordinator notes.
- 5 minutes - Hand out the take-home sheet and agree on one thing to do at home.
Rules for volunteers
- Never ask for, write down or keep a learner's password, verification code or account number.
- Never make a payment or money transfer for a learner. Guide them, and let the learner do the tapping.
- Practice never needs real or private information.
- If Wi-Fi, sound or a phone fails: use the printouts and the read-aloud text, and try again later.
